Welcome to the Highly Wired Electric String Quartet – the alter ego of the nationally established Highly Strung String Quartet. The Highly Wired String Quartet is an all female string ensemble with over twelve years experience of playing at weddings and corporate functions all over the UK and further afield.

Highly Wired is a professional vibrant string quartet with an eclectic playlist mixing classical music with lighter numbers, jazz and popular pieces. The quartet’s versatile repertoire includes music to suit any occasion from Beethoven to Bohemian Rhapsody. The string quartet is extremely popular at corporate events and private parties.

The Highly Wired String Quartet formed in 2008 as the electric version of the Highly Strung String Quartet which was established in 1996. Highly Wired is a dynamic, stylish, reliable and sophisticated choice for your event. Some of its more modern repertoire has been specially arranged for the quartet and is unique to Highly Wired. Each member graduated from either the Royal College of Music, the Guildhall School of Music or the Royal Northern College of Music.

Individual members of the string quartet have performed in concert, on tour and on television alongside Will Young, Shakira, Rod Stewart, Il Divo and Robbie Williams. The String Quartet has performed at corporate functions in some of the country’s finest venues including Tower Bridge, Woburn Abbey, The Royal Courts of Justice and Burghley House. The group has also played in Europe and the Caribbean. The quartet’s clients include Coutts & Co Bank, BBC, European Sponsorship Committee, Mercedes-Benz, A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, English Heritage, HSBC, John Lewis, Boots, Proctor & Gamble, Alliance & Leicester, British Business Awards, National e-Science Centre, Royal Air Force, The Ministry of Defence and Capital One.
